Washington Wizards player Bradley Beal is under investigation following a postgame situation with a fan in Orlando after the Wizards' loss to the Magic, according to a police report obtained by ESPN.

According to ABC News, the Orlando Police department is investigating the Wizards star for a battery. As of Tuesday, no formal charges have been filed.

The situation between Beal and the fan happened near the visiting players' tunnel at Orlando's Amway Center last Tuesday after the 122-112 loss to the Orlando Magic, ESPN said.

A group of fans walked up to Beal while he was exiting near the tunnel, where one of them accused the Wizards player of contributing to his losing bet on the game, yelling: "You made me lose $1,300 you f---," according to the case report from Orlando police.

In response, Beal went up to the group and allegedly swatted another fan's hat off his head and "made contact" with the man's head, according to the police report obtained by ESPN.

The fan told Beal that he did not make the initial comment about the lost bet before the two got into a "verbal argument," according to the police report obtained by ESPN.

The complaint states that "probable cause exists to charge Beal with simple battery," ESPN reports.

The Washington Wizards released this statement following the incident.

“We are aware of the situation regarding Bradley Beal in Orlando but won’t have further comment until we’ve gathered more information.”
