Crash involving Maryland-National Capitol Park Police officer under investigation

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (7News) —
Maryland State Police are looking into a crash involving a Maryland Park Police vehicle early Friday afternoon, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.

Officials reported just after 1 p.m. that the officer's vehicle and a red Toyota vehicle collided on northbound Largo Road and Whitehouse Road in the Upper Marlboro.
The officer was driving north on Largo Road and attempted to make a left turn onto White House Rd. when it was struck by the Toyota.

The officer, and occupants of the Toyota were taken to a hospital for treatment. All lanes impacted have since reopened and an investigation remains underway.
