DC man dead, woman injured after shooting in Oxon Hill, Prince George's Co. police say

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (7News) — A D.C. man is dead, and a woman is in the hospital after a shooting in Oxon Hill, Md. early Tuesday morning, according to Prince George’s County police.

Officers said they responded to the 5100 block of Deal Drive on Tuesday, Dec. 26 around 12:45 a.m. for a shooting.

When they arrived, officers found a man in a stairwell suffering from gunshot wounds.

The man – later identified as 41-year-old Tracy Williams Jr. of D.C. - was pronounced dead on the scene, according to police.

A woman was also found at the scene with gunshot wounds and was taken to a hospital in stable condition, officers said.

Police said they are working to determine a suspect and motive in this case.
