WASHINGTON, D.C. (7News) — Woodbridge native and United States Air Force Airman Chase Jackson had all of Capital One Arena floating on air Wednesday night.

Jackson has been in the Air Force since 2020 and returned home to see his mom for the first time in more than a year. With the help of the Wizards, Jackson surprised his mom, Jackie, on the court at Washington's game Wednesday night against the Denver Nuggets.

The two embraced in a hug as Jackie became overwhelmed with emotion.
